Modern ETS2 is objectively better in every metric—graphics, physics, sound, and content. However, loading up with the Maz 6430 and the Hungary Map is like listening to a vinyl record. It’s crackly, it’s limited, but the vibe is unmatched.

Modern SCS lighting looks great, but v1.1.1 had a grey, desaturated filter that made everything look like a rainy day in Poland. The legacy version of Realistic Lighting by removes the yellow tint, increases contrast, and makes the sunsets look fiery orange. It does not require DX11, so it runs perfectly on the old engine.
