Playing the patch requires a legitimate copy of the Japanese Soukaigi ROM (usually in .bin/.cue format). Using a patching tool like or Floating IPS , you apply the downloadable patch file to the ROM. The resulting patched game can be played on:

Graphically, Soukaigi was a miracle. The game also relied on a significant amount of Japanese text—ritual explanations, character backstories, and cryptic clues—making a simple menu translation insufficient.

The patched file should be roughly the same size as the original (approx. 650MB). Load the output file in DuckStation. If successful, the title screen will now read "SOUKAIGI" with English subtitles on the menu.
