The original GTA VC 1.0 CD used copy protection. SecuROM installed a kernel-level driver that modern versions of Windows (10 and 11) actively reject for security reasons. Even if you insert the CD, Windows may block the DRM, causing "Emulator detected" errors or outright crashes. A no cd executable bypasses this broken DRM entirely.
