The film introduces us to Arthur, a ten-year-old boy living on a farm in Connecticut with his grandmother. It is the early 1960s, and Arthur is fascinated by the tales of his grandfather, Archibald, a brilliant engineer and explorer who vanished years prior. Archibald discovered a land inhabited by tiny beings—the Minimoys—whom he befriended and protected.
