The human ego ( nafs ammarah ) is the greatest veil between man and God. The physical exertion and rhythmic repetition exhaust the ego’s resistance. When the body moves in surrender, the mind loses its grip, and the soul takes over.
If you wish to experience the Dikri Qadiriya firsthand or incorporate it into your life:
The Dikri Qadiriya Sufi order has had a profound impact on the lives of millions of people worldwide. Its influence extends beyond the Islamic world, with many people from diverse cultural backgrounds drawn to its spiritual teachings and practices.
As the Qadiri poets say: "Judge a tree by its fruit, not by the shape of its leaves."
In many parts of the Muslim world, Dikri Qadiriya is performed as a form of spiritual healing. It is believed that the collective energy of the Dhikr generates a "spiritual ultrasound" that breaks spiritual blockages, removes negative energy ( al-hasad – envy), and alleviates depression and anxiety.
