Venx-201 Jun 2026
Comprehensive documentation, schematics, Yocto layer, and sample applications available via the VENX Developer Portal. One-year hardware warranty with optional extended support.
: An oxidized phospholipid once studied for chronic inflammatory diseases like atherosclerosis and COVID-19.
CAPS are rare, monogenic autoinflammatory diseases caused by gain-of-function mutations in the NLRP3 gene. Patients suffer from recurring fever, urticarial rash, joint pain, and, in severe cases, aseptic meningitis and sensorineural hearing loss.

The VENX-201 strikes an optimal balance between processing power and energy efficiency, making it ideal for battery-operated or passively cooled systems. Its extensive I/O suite and Linux-ready BSP reduce development time, while the compact 50mm x 40mm form factor allows direct integration into custom carrier boards.
Before moving into human trials, VENX-201 underwent rigorous preclinical validation. Studies published in abstracts from the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) demonstrated the following:

In the rapidly evolving landscape of immunology and drug discovery, few targets have generated as much excitement in the last decade as the . This intracellular protein complex acts as a sentinel for cellular damage and infection, but when dysregulated, it becomes a primary driver of chronic inflammation. For years, researchers have searched for a safe, effective, and selective inhibitor to block this pathway without compromising overall immunity. Enter VENX-201 .
VEN-201 works by disrupting , which helps restore normal tissue function. Because the reference compound already has an established safety profile from decades of use, the drug may move through an expedited regulatory pathway toward human clinical trials. As of early 2024, the company was approximately 18–24 months away from launching its first-in-human studies. Distinguishing Related Compounds
No drug candidate is without hurdles. As VENX-201 moves into Phase 2, several questions remain: VENX-201 is an investigational drug not yet approved
The NLRP3 inflammasome is a three-part complex: NLRP3 (the sensor), ASC (the adaptor), and caspase-1 (the effector). When activated by danger signals such as ATP, uric acid crystals, amyloid-beta, or silica, NLRP3 undergoes a conformational change. It recruits ASC proteins, which form a speck—a large signaling platform. This platform then cleaves caspase-1, which in turn cleaves the precursor cytokines pro-IL-1β and pro-IL-18 into their active, pro-inflammatory forms. Caspase-1 also cleaves gasdermin D, causing a highly inflammatory form of cell death called pyroptosis.
: In preclinical studies using mouse models of scleroderma (a skin condition mechanistically similar to Dupuytren’s), daily injections of VEN-201 significantly reduced skin thickness and collagen density.
