“The frog has no blood, only a cold fluid. It is born in mud. The Prophet forbade killing it because its croaking is a form of tasbīḥ (glorification of God). Some jurists say its meat is haram because the Prophet ordered the killing of five sinful animals (crow, kite, scorpion, mouse, snake) but did not mention the frog. If a frog jumps into a water vessel, the water remains pure unless the frog is dead and swollen. In dreams, a frog signifies a corrupt monk or a cold-hearted hypocrite.”
