The M1 software includes the original hardware arpeggiator. However, it is clunky. Instead, use your DAW’s arpeggiator (Logic's Arpeggiator MIDI FX or Ableton's Arp) to drive the M1. You’ll get more rhythm options.

The M1 plugin includes an internal "High Quality" mode (Oversampling). On an M1 Max, you can leave this ON for all 16 channels. On an Intel Mac or M1 base, turn it OFF while arranging; turn it ON during the final bounce. korg m1 mac

Unlike other companies, Korg uses a central manager called "Korg Software Pass." Download this utility first. It handles authorization and downloads for all Korg plugins. You’ll get more rhythm options

This is the critical section. Apple updates macOS every year, often breaking older audio plugins.

The Korg M1 plugin uses a vector-scaled UI, but on some high-DPI displays (4K/5K), the text looks fuzzy. Right-click the plugin window in your DAW. Look for "Open in Low Resolution" – uncheck this. Alternatively, use the VST3 version instead of the AU version; VST3 usually handles scaling better on macOS.

The Korg M1 software runs natively on M1, M2, and M3 Macs. You do not need Rosetta 2 for the plugin itself.
