Adding Eric Andre to a cast already screaming at the top of their lungs feels like overkill. It isn't. Andre plays Jesse , the illegitimate son of Baby Billy, who has turned to a life of petty crime and bizarre conspiracy theories. His deadpan reaction to the Gemstone mansion is worth the price of admission alone. The chemistry between Andre and Goggins is volatile, producing the season’s most quoted line: "You think God is gonna let you into heaven with that haircut?"

Visually, levels up. David Gordon Green (director of the Halloween reboots and frequent McBride collaborator) frames the evangelical megachurch as a fortress of opulence.
