Do not fully tighten any screw until the entire sub-assembly (e.g., the left side panel of a wardrobe) is complete. The PDF usually says "hand-tighten only" for the first 5 steps, then "fully tighten" at step 6. Follow this rigidly. Over-tightening too early warps the frame.
