Released in 1995 as a collaboration between (famous for high-end cables) and Reference Recordings (legendary for their HDCD recordings), this disc was designed with two very specific purposes:

While purists will argue for the original gold CD, the 1995 FLAC rip (properly done) captures the critical HDCD encoding and the full dynamic range of the original master. For those of us without a gold disc player (yes, that’s a joke… mostly), the FLAC version is the next best thing.
