Insert the green Gatan USB license dongle. Windows will install the device. Open DigitalMicrograph. If it opens without a "License Missing" error, success.
Some old installers (version 3.x) allowed a 30-day trial. Current versions do not. However, you can open DM if the dongle is physically plugged in, even if the dongle has no active "seats" – you just can't save images.
