The Enlisted AGSU coat is a hip-length coat made of a 55% polyester / 45% wool elastique. It features a drab green shade (shade 61) and is fully lined. Unlike the ASU, the AGSU coat is designed to be worn both indoors and outdoors, though specific protocol remains for ceremonies.
For ceremonies, formal parades, or when the unit commander dictates “service cap,” enlisted soldiers wear a dark green service cap with a black visor and gold chinstrap (stowed above the visor). The left side of your AGSU jacket is a map of your career
