A 32-bit application, by definition, can only address a maximum of 4 Gigabytes of RAM (Random Access Memory). In practice, Windows and macOS reserve a portion of this for system overhead, meaning RimWorld was usually limited to roughly 2.8GB to 3.5GB of usable memory.

If you own the game on Steam or have downloaded the latest version from the official site, you are already playing the 64-bit version. There is no longer a separate "32-bit" or "64-bit" option in the standard launcher. The game is now exclusively 64-bit.
