Lion tells the story of Saroo Brierley, a five-year-old boy from a poor village in Khandwa, India, who accidentally boards a decommissioned train that takes him 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) away to the chaotic streets of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta).
