A JPG to C2P converter is a specialized utility used to transform standard image files into the proprietary format required for Casio fx-CP400 (ClassPad II) Use one of these tools: Displaying background images

To convert a standard JPG into a C2P file, you can use specialized software: Most modern graphic tools (Photoshop, GIMP) do not

A popular open-source tool specifically for Windows. It allows users to download an executable (.exe) and simply drag-and-drop JPG or PNG files to generate a C2P version.

Most modern graphic tools (Photoshop, GIMP) do not natively support the C2P format. Furthermore, simply converting the file extension isn't enough. The image must be processed to fit the technical constraints of the target machine. If you try to load a raw JPG into a Commodore Plus/4 without conversion, the machine will not have the memory, processing power, or video capability to display it.

The C2P file is missing the correct header (C2P files start with a specific byte sequence). Fix: Open a valid C2P in a hex editor, copy the first 128 bytes, and prepend them to your converted file.

To the previous commentator’s question: Does Groovy on Grails change things?
Well, first of all there’s also JRuby that is built on the Java platform. So you can have Ruby and RoR on Java directly. Then Groovy and Grails are there and provide similar capabilities. That changes things… but not in the way many of the old Java fogies may have anticipated: It validates DHH’s point of view in the strongest way possible. Dynamic languages are a powerful tool in any programmer’s arsenal–if you get exclusively attached to Java [1] and ignore dynamic languages, then do so at your own peril.

[1] The idea of getting exclusively attached to a particular language/platform is silly–they are just tools. Kill your ego. Open your mind and explore new technologies and techniques so you can use them when appropriate.
