It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.

Should I take other than Him [false] deities? If the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me.

This is one of the most powerful narratives in the Quran. Allah describes a city to which three messengers were sent. When the people rejected them, a man came running from the farthest part of the city to support the messengers. He was martyred but entered Paradise. His regretful cry— "Alas for me! I wish I had followed the messengers" —serves as a chilling warning for those who postpone faith until death.

When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."

Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,
