EPGP operates not on a simple point balance but on a (PR). Every raider has two numbers:

Being on time and staying for the full raid duration.

Accumulated by receiving loot; each item has a pre-assigned GP value based on its power.

When an item drops, the player with the highest who wants the item wins it. epgp classic

To avoid a mathematical exploit where a player with zero GP would have an infinite PR (division by near-zero), EPGP sets a base GP for everyone (usually 1). This ensures that the formula functions mathematically and that your first piece of loot still has a "cost" attached to it.

Here is a standard Classic template:

Because it is managed by addons like the EPGP Classic or CEPGP, every raider can see their exact standing and "place in line" at any time. Comparison: Why Choose EPGP? EPGP operates not on a simple point balance but on a (PR)

The system relies on three primary values to determine who gets the next piece of gear:

Bringing consumables, helping with attunements, or even setting up guild resources like Discord.

In this scenario, both players have equal priority. This highlights the beauty of EPGP: It allows new raiders to catch up to veterans relatively quickly, preventing the "hoarding" problem common in DKP where a new member can never hope to win an item against someone with a year's worth of saved points. When an item drops, the player with the

To avoid "division by zero" errors and prevent brand-new members from having infinite priority, every player starts with a minimum "Base GP".
