Version 0.26 overhauls the relationship tracker. Previously opaque, the "Heat Gauge" now visually displays the protagonist’s pent-up frustration (and attraction). However, the clever twist is that letting the gauge get too high locks you out of rational conversations, forcing a "passion ending" to a chapter. This adds a risk-reward element to dialogue choices.

At its core, The Wants of Summer is a story about stagnation, attraction, and the explosive consequences of boredom. The player assumes the role of a young man in his early twenties who has returned to his sweltering, rural hometown for the summer break.
