The "Data Error" component of the message usually indicates one of two things:

Ironically, this issue can manifest both when long paths are disabled and when they are incorrectly enabled. MO2 works best with explicit handling.

Mod Organizer 2 creates a complex virtual folder structure. Sometimes, a mod has a very long name, or contains deeply nested folders, which results in a file path that exceeds Windows' default limit of 260 characters.
