The NAND (Negated AND) flash memory in a Nintendo Wii typically has 512 MB of storage. It holds the Wii’s operating system (IOS titles), system menu, channels, saved games, Miis, and console-specific cryptographic keys. Critically, each Wii’s NAND contains unique data, including the console’s private encryption keys. These keys are used for legitimate online services (when they were active) and to sign data. No two Wii NANDs are exactly alike.
