If you can find a used copy on eBay or at a local record store (look for the 3-disc Digipak with the blue Avatar logo), do not hesitate. While Disney continues to scrub grain and remove scenes from streaming platforms to shorten runtimes, this physical artifact stands as a monument to a time when home video meant getting the full story. If you own a standard 4K TV and a Blu-ray player, this 1080p disc upscales beautifully. Because the movie was rendered at 2K digitally (the CGI native resolution is 2K, not 4K), upscaling a high-bitrate 1080p source to 4K actually looks identical to a "fake" 4K master.
